Gower School District 62

Technology Brief

Gower School District 62 is a K-8 school district operating in Willowbrook and Burr Ridge, IL. The district is comprised of two school buildings with about 900 students and 125 staff members total. Gower has approximately 300 Apple MacBooks or iMacs, 200 iPads, and about 700 Chromebooks. Heliox Group serves as the district’s IT administrator and manages all devices and equipment on-site or remotely.

Since serving as Gower’s IT administrator, Heliox Group has:

• Migrated the district to G Suite for Education from an on-premise Microsoft Exchange Server
• Implemented Cisco Meraki access points and switches that can be managed in the cloud
• Assisted with consolidating print services to save the District thousands of dollars
• Migrated the school to a cloud-based student information system
• Implemented an email marketing solution for parent communications
